The SDM PARTNERS team, led by partners Serhiy Dzis, Felix Aronovych and lawyer Hanna Nepomiashcha advised the Czech company on the establishment and initial support of a non-banking financial institution (NBFC) in Ukraine.
The firm has successfully supported similar projects before. But it was the first time that the establishment of a financial institution and obtaining of all necessary permits were made under the new rules established by the Split Law (Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts to Improve the Function of State Regulation of Financial Services Markets”), that came into effect as of July 1, 2020.
Despite the novelty, the law firm in a much shorter period than expected, was able to obtain the status of a financial institution with all the necessary documents and licenses for clients company to conduct the business.
Serhiy Dzis, partner of SDM PARTNERS said: “We appreciate cooperation with our clients, including non-resident companies that open businesses in Ukraine. SDM PARTNERS has once again proven its expertise in founding and supporting NBFC financial companies.”
