Architects Obliged to Design Only Energy-Efficient Housing

According to the Ministry of Regional Development, there is a project of a new State Building Standards В.2.2-Х:201Х named “Residential houses. Basic provisions” proposing to introduce a rule regarding the design of the residential buildings with energy efficiency not below “C” Level. It will permit to save energy up to 40% and in case of the reconstruction of the houses it would significantly prolong the buildings’ service life. The rule regards the new construction and renovation.
The Law on Energy Efficiency of Buildings introduces the European requirements for energy saving, introducing energy efficiency classes of buildings from “A” to “G” Levels. Therefore, in the new State Building Standards, the Ministry of Regional Development will take into account these changes.
According to the State Building Standards project, the residential buildings and public buildings built into them, should be designed with an energy efficiency class of “C” Level not below, taking into account the requirements of State Building Standards B.2.6-31: 2016 “On Thermal Insulation of Buildings”.
