Ukraine Has Withdrawn From the Agreement On Supply of Goods Between the CIS Сountries

On January 30, the Government supported the initiative of the Ministry of Economic Development and terminated the Agreement on the General Conditions for the Supply of Goods between Organizations of the CIS countries for Ukraine.
The 1992 agreement specified the principles of concluding, amending and terminating the interstate trade and economic agreements of the CIS countries, in particular, the volumes, the limits, the terms of goods supply, fixing also specific suppliers to certain buyers.
According to the Ministry of Economic Development, the provisions of this Agreement contain the outdated regulation of the times of a planned economy, which does not meet the modern principles of the market economy in Ukraine.
Today, in addition, the real interstate trade and economic agreements between the CIS member states are also absent.
