National Bank of Ukraine left the discount rate at 18%

The NBU Board decided to leave the discount rate unchanged at 18% per annum. The regulator considers the projected monetary conditions tough enough to ensure a reduction in inflation to the medium-term target of 5% in 2020.
In the case of maintaining the intensity of inflationary pressure or its increase, the National Bank may resort to raising the discount rate.
Recall the discount rate of 18% per annum was established on September 7.
