Electronic tax audit is to be launched in full by 2020

Electronic tax audit: the State Fiscal Service (SFS) supports the government’s course on preventing unreasonable inspections, reducing pressure on business and stimulating the development of entrepreneurship by introducing a transparent risk-based control system. Thus, employees of the fiscal service are working on the introduction of electronic auditing, which is planned to be launched in full by 2020.
The SFS informs that electronic audit will allow identifying most of the risks before the inspection, significantly speed up and simplify data analysis procedures, significantly reduce the time spent on conducting inspections of both officials and taxpayers.
With the introduction of the E-Audit, receiving from the taxpayer primary documents in paper form will be necessary only for selected risks in order to verify possible frauds.
The SFS also within the framework of the Tax Code of Ukraine and in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On the Basic Principles of State Supervision (Control) in the Sphere of Economic Activity”, will publish all the information that concerns inspections of business entities.
Today, taxpayers have an opportunity to independently assess the riskiness of their own business and the chance of falling into the measures of a planned audit. Thus, the procedure for the formation of a schedule of documentary scheduled inspections of taxpayers and risk criteria for the activities of business entities is public information. And annual schedules of documentary scheduled checks are made public on the official web portal of the SFS.
The SFS also emphasizes the accent in the control and verification work is placed on a large business (according to the SFS).
