The procedure for bank secrecy disclosure was updated

The National Bank of Ukraine updated the current Rules for Storage, Protection, Use and Disclosure of Bank Secrecy.

The respective NBU Resolution was adopted on 19 June 2018, No. 66 and has already entered into force.

From now on, banks shall provide data on transactions under accounts of a particular legal person, individual or individual entrepreneur for a specific period, not only upon the request of the prosecutor’s office, the Security Service of Ukraine, National Bank of Ukraine, National Police, National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, and the Anti-monopoly Committee of Ukraine, but also upon the request of other authorities or persons determined by part 1 Article 62 of the Law on banks, as to the providing of such information in paper or e-form, complying with the requirements set forth in the Appendix to the Rules.

In addition, the requirement for banks to provide such information with no specification of counterparties to transactions is excluded.
