Simplification of the Import of Lithium-Ion Batteries

On 29 January 2026, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, by Resolution No. 102, amended the list of goods whose export and import is subject to licensing in 2026.

In accordance with this Resolution, lithium-ion electric batteries, including separators for them (UKT ZED code 8507 60 00 00), have been excluded from the list of goods requiring an import and export license.

This decision should allow for faster delivery of electricity storage equipment to Ukraine and ensure the uninterrupted operation of critical infrastructure and businesses, according to the press service of the Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine.
