The term of the moratorium on the alienation of agricultural land is extended for a year, until January 1, 2020.
The corresponding Law “On Amendments to Section X” Transitional Provisions “of the Land Code of Ukraine regarding the extension of the ban on the alienation of agricultural land” (Bill No. 9355-5) was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on December 20.
The Rada also registered a number of deputy bills on the extension of the moratorium, which, in particular, proposed to link the postponement of the date of lifting the moratorium to the outstanding dates of the communist regime (April 22, November 7, May 1, etc.), as well as to introduce it before establishing the results of the All-Ukrainian referendum on the purchase and sale of agricultural land.
