The Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of March 6, 2019, No. 227, which approved the provisions on the State Tax and State Customs Services, came into force on March 20.
The decision to reorganize the GFS by dividing the tax and customs service was made by the Government at the end of 2018.
It has been established that the services are being created in the form of central executive bodies, whose activities are to be directed and coordinated by the Cabinet through the Minister of Finance.
The State Tax Service and the State Customs Service are legal entities of public law, have a seal with the image of the State Emblem of Ukraine and their name, their own forms, accounts in the Treasury bodies and banks. The State Customs Service will also have its own flag.
The Cabinet of Ministry also decided on the location of the State Customs Service on the following address: Kyiv, Dehtyarivska St, 11-g.
The State Customs Service and its territorial bodies will carry out the functions and authorities of revenues and fees, established by the legislation until the corresponding amendments are made to the regulatory acts.
