On 26 March 2025, the Verkhovna Rada adopted in the first reading Draft Law No. 12221, which aims, inter alia, to adapt Ukrainian legislation on accreditation of conformity assessment and technical regulation bodies to the European standards set out in Regulation (EC) No. 765/2008.
Ukraine will recognise the results of accreditation carried out by EU bodies if they have successfully passed the mutual evaluation.
If a Ukrainian manufacturer uses EU standards that are identical to European harmonised standards, its products will be deemed to be in compliance.
