This refers to the Law No. 3977-IX “On Amendments to the Customs Code of Ukraine on Establishing the Peculiarities of Service in the Customs Authorities and Certification of Customs Officials”.
We have already written about this law in more detail earlier.
Thus, the Law shall enter into force on 31 October 2024, except for two clauses:
- clause 3 of Section I of the Law, according to which sampling of goods under customs control, at the initiative of officials and employees of other state authorities, including law enforcement agencies, as well as declarants, is carried out by such persons independently, using their own technical means for sampling of goods, with the permission and in the presence of officials of the relevant customs authority, will enter into force on 20 April 2025;
- clause 10 of Section I of this Law, which establishes the procedure for remuneration of customs officials and employees, will enter into force on 1 January 2025.
