Draft law on labour guarantees for military families

On 22 April 2025, the Verkhovna Rada registered Draft Law No. 13208, which proposes to amend the Labor Code of Ukraine in terms of the preemptive right to stay in the job when employees are dismissed due to changes in the organisation of production and labor.

The document provides for a preferential right to stay at work for employees whose spouse is performing military service under the call-up during mobilization.

According to the Draft Law, such a labor guarantee will be valid for the entire period of martial law, as well as for six months after its lifting or termination.
