Five Countries Added to the List of Offshore Zones

Five Countries Added to the List of Offshore Zones

The government determined the basis for the states to be added to the offshore zones listing.

The corresponding order number 1079-p was adopted at the Government meeting on December 27, 2018.

The list of offshore zones was also updated to reflect the data of the Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes and the OECD. In particular, the following countries are added to  this list: Trinidad and Tobago, Namibia, Guam, Palau and American Samoa.

The list  expansion should ensure the functioning of the financial monitoring system on the prevention and counteraction of the legalization (laundering) of proceeds from crime, financing of terrorism and financing the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
