EU Parliament Approves EUR 50 billion Financial Aid to Ukraine

On 26 February 2024, the European Parliament voted to provide Ukraine with €50 billion in financial support. This was announced on the official website of the European Parliament.

In particular, it concerns the creation of the so-called Ukraine Facility, approved by 536 votes in favour, 40 against and 39 abstentions, with an overall capacity of €50 billion for grants, loans and guarantees, “showing that the EU stands by Ukraine and will keep supporting it as long as it takes”.

European Parliament Calls on the EU to Give Ukraine Whatever It Needs to Defeat Russia

On 29 February 2024 the European Parliament adopted a resolution calling on the EU to support Ukraine with everything necessary to help it win the war against Russia.

“For Kyiv to win, there should be “no self-imposed restriction on military assistance to Ukraine”, with Parliament reaffirming the need to provide the country with whatever is needed to regain full control over its internationally recognised territory”, the resolution says.

President Signed the Law on Simplifying the Change of Land Use Designation to Attract Investments

On 26 February 2024, the President of Ukraine signed Law No. 3563-IX, which provides for a simplified procedure for changing the designated purpose of land for the construction of industrial and energy facilities.
The Law will enter into force three months after its publication.

Cabinet of Ministers Approved the Trademark “Made In Ukraine”

In its Resolution No. 197 dated 23 February 2024, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the trademark image for nationally produced goods.

This document was adopted to popularize Ukrainian-made goods, promote domestic demand for nationally produced goods, and raise the level of general awareness of the Ukrainian community about the national producer.

It is expected that all enterprises, institutions and organizations, regardless of their form of ownership, will be able to use this trademark free of charge.

Currently, the Ministry of Economy is responsible for ensuring the filing of an application for state registration of such a trademark.
