MP’s Unblocked Signing of the Law on Cancellation of Tax Audits’ Moratorium

The Verkhovna Rada didn’t support blocking resolutions to the draft law No 10016-d, which provides a partial return of documentary tax audits.

Thus, currently the draft law is pending on the signature of the President.

Let us please remind you that the adopted draft law provides, inter alia, resumption of tax audits of risky enterprises from 1 December 2023.

Ukraine and the EU Introduced the Alternative Rules of Origin of Goods

As the State Customs Service reported on the Facebook, on 01.12.2023, Ukraine and the European Union will introduce Alternative Rules of Origin at the bilateral level.

The updated Alternative rules of origin contain a number of improvements, in particular:

  • the ability to confirm the origin of goods by using only two documents instead of four: the EUR.1 certificate and the declaration of origin;
  • the extended validity period of such documents – from four months to ten;
  • the ability to prepare the declaration of origin retrospectively – within two years after export is done.

Ukraine Joined to the Program on Improving Transport Links with the EU

As the Ministry of Reconstruction has informed, the Verkhovna Rada has ratified an Agreement between Ukraine and European Union on participation in Connecting Europe Facility.

Realization of this program will allow attract funding from the EU for the development of transport, energy and digital services networks in Ukraine, as well as facilitate exports from Ukraine to Europe.

Procedure for State Registration of Copyright Came into Force

Let us please remind you that on 24.11.2023 Order of the Ministry of Economy dated 16.08.2023 No. 11319, which defines the procedure for state registration of copyright and contracts related to property rights, came into force.

NBU Economic Forecast 2024-2025

In its inflation report for October 2023 the National Bank of Ukraine updated its economic forecast for 2024 and 2025 years.

These are the expected economic indicators:

  • GDP will grow to 3,6% in 2024 and to 6,0% in 2025, respectively;
  • inflation will remain moderate: it is expected to grow only to 9,8% in 2024;
  • the unemployment rate will gradually decrease: to 16,5% in 2024 and to 14,2% in 2025.
