Deputies intend to protect the business from abuse of licensing authorities

On September 18, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the draft law No. 7373, which complements the recently approved measures to protect businesses from abuses by law enforcement agencies. The authors have prepared amendments to the Administrative Code on enhancing the protection of business entities from unlawful actions or inaction of licensing authorities.

Authorities will be responsible for:

(a) violation of the terms of issue (renewal, cancellation) or refusal to issue a permit or register a declaration of conformity;

(b) refusal to accept documents for obtaining permits or refusal to register a declaration of conformity;

(c) issuance of an unauthorized permits;

(d) groundless cancellation or refusal to issue a permit;

(e) making decisions on issuing (re-issuing, canceling) the authorization document by bodies that are not authorized to issue them.
