The Ministry of Regional Development, Building and Housing of Ukraine has started working on the Town-Planning Code. The new code will unite the norms regulating construction activity, which are currently existing in 7 laws and in more than 50 by-laws.
The working group and specialists from the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety of Germany will work on the Town-Planning Code, providing technical, intellectual and financial support.
It is worth noting that the idea of creating the Town-Planning Code is not new – the draft code was planned to be adopted back in 2010, and its Concept was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine 10 years ago. Instead of the Code, in February 2011 the Law “On the Regulation of Town-Planning Activities” was adopted.
