You Can Return Drugs To Pharmacy

The Ministry of Health explained some aspects of the return of drugs and medical products to pharmacy from January 1, 2019: only drugs and medical products of inadequate quality can be returned. To do this, you must present a payment document for their purchase. In this case, the consumer has the right to ask the return of the money paid for the drugs or to replace the drug with a similar one.

From January 1, the Law of November 23, 2018 No. 2628-VIII “On Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine and Some Other Legislative Acts of Ukraine Concerning Improving Administration and Revision of Individual Taxes and Fees” comes into force.

In particular, it amends the consumer’s requirements for drugs and medical products.

The Ministry of Health notes that the fact of inadequate quality must be confirmed by the following documents:

• a conclusion on the quality of medicines issued by the subordinated laboratory of the territorial body of the State Service and / or an authorized laboratory;
• the order of the State Service on the prohibition of the circulation of the medicinal product.

To protect themselves and to avoid buying low-quality medicines, the Ministry recommends checking the website of the State Medical Service making sure that the purchased drugs are not prohibited. The Ministry of Health also reminded that all pharmacies must provide documents confirming the proper quality of products the manufacturer’s quality certificate, at the buyer’s request.
