On 10 February 2025, the press service of the Ministry of Digital Transformation announced that Ukraine had successfully passed the testing of the compatibility of electronic documents with prototypes of the European Union Digital Identity Wallet.
The Ministry believes that by the end of 2026, Ukrainians will be able to use digital documents abroad, and Europeans will be able to use theirs in Ukraine.
The EU Digital Identity Wallet will allow Ukrainians to present documents, register SIM cards and open a bank account.
