100,000 UAH for Arranging Workplaces for Persons with Disabilities

According to statement on the Government portal, the Cabinet of Ministers will compensate employers for the costs of setting up workplaces for persons with disabilities of I and II groups in the amount of up to 100.5 thousand hryvnias.

The decision was adopted at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on 22.08.2023.

It is envisaged to provide compensation to employers for arranging workplaces in the following amounts:

• for persons with disabilities of the 1st group – up to 100.5 thousand hryvnias (15 minimum wages);
• for persons with disabilities of the II group – up to 67,000 hryvnias (10 minimum wages).

Compensation will be made for the employer’s purchase of auxiliary means for arranging the workplace for a person with a disability, including furniture, conveyors, equipment, lifting platforms, etc.

In order to receive compensation, the employer must submit to the regional employment center in paper or electronic form an application for the provision of compensation, as well as copies of documents that confirm the employment of a person with a disability and the employer’s purchase of appropriate means.

Only One Certificate will be Required to Obtain Combatant Status

According to information from the Government portal, the procedure for obtaining the status of a participant in hostilities (combatant status) has become easier – the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has made appropriate changes to the Procedure for granting and deprivation the status of a participant in hostilities.

The updated approach provides for a simplified procedure for obtaining the status of a participant in hostilities due to a reduction in the number of required documents.

From now on, in order to apply to the commissions for determining the status of a participant in hostilities, it is sufficient to provide only a certificate of direct participation in the measures necessary to ensure the defense of Ukraine, the protection of the safety of the population and the interests of the state in connection with the military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
